What is the Doctoral School?

The purpose of the Doctoral School at the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology is to educate doctoral students and guide them through the process of producing a doctoral dissertation and attaining a doctoral degree.

The educational process involves imparting a broad range of knowledge onto the students, developing their abilities and social skills necessary to conduct research and produce a doctoral thesis. The educational outcomes thus achieved will prove instrumental in their future research work at universities or R&D departments. Completing a Doctoral School course is equivalent to achieving a level 8 within the Polish Qualifications Framework.

The assistance in writing the doctoral dissertation provided at the Doctoral School consists in coordinating research work conducted as part of the Personal Research Plan – a time frame for writing the dissertation, developed by each doctoral student in cooperation with their dissertation supervisor.
